Education in Britain |

Thus, my brother Scotty had a fantastic opportunity to study at one of British universities. Although I tried to concentrate on my own studying at school, I couldn't stop thinking about my brother's future life in the UK, in the country that is the home of such famous writers like William Shakespeare, the Bronte Sisters, and Beatrix Potter, Robert Burns, Graham Greene, Lewis Carroll and the list goes on. Of course, I've read students' blogs about great events and people's life in ancient times in this country, but anyway I envy my brother. It is frightening a little bit to find oneself in a different country - at the same time is an event of adventure and mysterysomehow. I know a little about NUS just some facts. It is the main confederation of students' unions within the United Kingdom. Besides this headquarters it has national sub-bodies NUS. Scotland in Scotland, NUS Wales in wales and NUS-USI in NorthernIreland. This organization is tightly connected with the European Students' Union (ESU), the aim of which is to represent and promote the educational, economic and cultural interests of students in Europe. Generally I like reading books but in modern society a computer has possessed people's minds, and I am not an exception, and I address blogs sometimes when I need different points of view in my compositions. Scotty is fond of books as well but he likes science fictions preferably. He seemed to read Rey Bradbury a hundred times but he is never bored of this author's books. I guess he is lucky to study in the United Kingdom. | |
